Who are we and what do we do? The 2024 theme provides an insight into the work of the Architectenregister
We look back on 2024 as an intensive year. Thanks to the support of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science and the subsidy from the Werk aan Uitvoering program, we have made progress in the staffing and professionalization of the organization. In addition to our public services and the execution of our statutory tasks, we have launched a new visual identity and a new website and we have moved to a new office.
With the annual report, the Architectenregister is accountable to its stakeholders and to the States General for the policy pursued, the quality assurance and the performance of its duties. This is a legal obligation that the register has as an independent administrative organization.
Two important evaluations are on the agenda for 2025. As an independent administrative body, we will be evaluated as an organisation. In addition, we will set up a committee to investigate the recalibration of the final objectives of our regulations, including the Professional Experience Period Regulation. The Architectenregister and our stakeholders attach great importance to this recalibration, given the changing environment, new technology and the changed position of spatial designers in the major social challenges. For stakeholders, investigating the final objectives is an excellent opportunity to influence the direction in which the profession of interior architect, architect, garden and landscape architect and urban planner develops. It may also influence the final objectives of the preparatory courses at HBO and university level, as laid down in the Further Regulation.
